Mostar is a small medieval town in northern Herzegovina. The Old Bridge over Neretva River is the symbol of the city. It dates back to the time of the Turkish occupation in the 1400's and it was destroyed by war, rebuild and now is under UNESCO's protection. If you decide to visit Mostar, you also have the possibility of excursions to places like Međugorje, Neretva Canyon, Počitelj and others.
Must see landmarks: Stari Most - The Old Bridge (UNESCO heritage), Old Bridge Museum, Muslibegovica House, Koski Mehmed Pasina Mosque and Karadjoz-Bey Mosque, Hum (Large Cross on Hill). On of the favorite tourist attractions is watching locals dive off the Old Bridge but you should make sure to give them a tip (tips are their payment) to show respect for their courage.
