Novi Sad is the capital of the province of Vojvodina and the second largest city in Serbia. The city is full of green areas and landmarks. Of the many tourist attractions, we recommend the Danube River and the famous promenade »Beogradski kej« as well as numerous beaches along the river, of which the best and most arranged is »Štrand«. Turists often visit first a historical monument the Petrovaradin Fortress, built in the 17th and 18th centuries. There are also the Museum of the City Novi Sad, Academy of Arts, an observatory, an archive of the city. Every July the music festival EXIT takes over the city and this is a festival considered as one of the best festivals in Europe.
After visiting the fortress walk to the city center, we recommend a stroll through the Dunavski park. Near the town on Fruska Gora are located 17 famous monasteries, which were built between the 15th and 18th centuries. A visit will stay in your memory for a long time, not only because of cultural values, but also because of the natural beauties provided by the Fruska Gora.
