Hotel Nautilus

Hotel Nautilus sets new standards for Bohemia and providing a great resting place for visitors to the Czech Republic. Each room is individually decorated with all work being carried out by local craftsmen and artisans, which are both plentiful and skilled in Bohemia.

The decor is influenced by the couple’s background as geologists; each room contains a unique rock or fossil. Ancient stone and antique Art Nouveau and Deco furniture and lights are combined with original works of art & sculpture from both Bohemia and England. The hotel is situated on the main square of a beautiful medieval town, Tabor, one hour South of Prague. Tabor played an important role in the Czech Republic. Founded in 1420, it is central to one of the most famous periods of the Czech history – the Hussite Movement and Hussite Wars. The Hotel is located in the center of this town with a tremendously rich historical and cultural past. Prague is a popular destination for tourists, and many travel to southern Bohemia however until now, there were few hotels for those who ventured south and wanted higher standards of accommodation.

Tabor is excellently placed to explore southern Bohemia offering peaceful countryside, extensive forests, rivers, lakes and idyllic villages. Nearby towns are packed full of history and wonderful Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance architecture. There are literally dozens of the most stunning castles within an hour drive. Prague and Česky Krumlov are within 1.5 hours and can be easily reached by road or train. Hotel Nautilus provides an ideal location for a wonderful romantic or active holiday in Bohemia.
