Borgo Storico Seghetti Panichi

The Borgo Storico Seghetti Panichi lies on a hill along the River Tronto valley, a few kilometres from Ascoli Piceno. The historic compound, built in different periods, is formed of the Relais Villa, an ancient medieval fortress adapted into a country residence in the 18th century; the Residenza San Pancrazio and other buildings dating back to the 17th and 19th centuries, sheltered by the ancient castle perimeter walls.

The Oratory, built in 1608, is decorated with precious frescoes attributed to the Biagio Miniera school. It is surrounded by a historic garden of rare beauties, which was planted between 1875 and 1890 by the renowned botanist and landscape gardener Ludwig Winter, and which is known today as the first Bioenergetic garden in Europe.

The spectrum of activities, proposed by the Borgo Storico Seghetti Panichi, reflects a philosophy of the art of living. The Cultural Association presents artistic and local themes at exhibitions and events of national importance.  A better understanding of our oldest traditions is offered to our guests by cookery lessons and creative workshops.
