The Hotel Royal in Mühlen in Taufers is situated in the Tauferer Valley at 865 metres over the sea level, at the sunny site of the Zillertaler Alps, in the heart of the Nature Park Rieserferner Ahrn.
The main locality is Sand in Taufers and comprises five districts and stands proud, with its imposing walls encircling Taufers Castle and the spectacular mountain landscape around the Tauferer Boden plateau. The peaceful water village of Mühlen, Kematen with its traditional farm houses and wonderful views, the high-alpine village of Rein with its stunning Hochgall mountain and unique flair and the sun-soaked village of Ahornach – birthplace of the South Tyrolean mountaineer Hans Kammerlander form together an unmistakeable symbiosis. The very best of South Tyrol packed into one valley.
