Apartments in the SIROCAVE cave are truly special accommodations. They are not like hotels or general accommodation.
Our caves are hollows carved into rhyolite tufa rock. We tried to provide a simple but still special nook for a few days to those who honor us. No rooms crammed with furniture, no 24-hour concierge service, no marble or granite stairs, buffet breakfasts, just simplicity. We warmly welcome all people who want to relax, in this historic location, you can indulge in idle hours, discover the only cave castle in our country, defy the wind on top of the wonderful Turkish table. In the garden, there is a possibility to fry bacon and make a pot. We can provide wood, skewers, and kettles.
Sirok can be reached by car from the M1 highway, it is located 120 kilometers from Budapest in Heves county. There is only a bus station in the center of the village, about 200 meters from the apartments. There is a train station in Eger about 25 kilometers away. The settlement is located on the eastern side of the Mátra Mountains in a beautiful mountainous landscape, on the Hungarian Blue Tour route. The Sirok castle in the northeastern part of the Mátra is the main landmark of Sirok. The cave apartments are hollows carved into the rhyolite tuff rock, in which the residential units with an oriental atmosphere were designed. There is a free parking lot in front of the apartments. All apartments have Wi-Fi access.
A wellness section with a jacuzzi, infrared sauna and Finnish sauna was created in a separate cave. This can be used with a surcharge.
Equipment:We have a total of 8 apartments, each apartment with a double bed or two single beds. Of these, two of our apartments can have extra beds for one more person and one apartment for two more people. In total, we can provide accommodation for 20 people. Equipment of the cave apartments: own kitchen (fridge, stove, dishes, glasses, cutlery), private bathroom with shower (towels provided), living room-bedroom (air-conditioned (refrigerator-heater with air conditioning), flat TV, hanging wardrobe, bedside table, double bed, with memory mattress, Persian rugs, garden furniture), in the garden there is a possibility to fry bacon and cook a pot.An infrared sauna and a jacuzzi await guests in our separate wellness cave. Wellness coupons can be purchased from the reception colleagues with a surcharge. The wellness - in case of indicated demand - 14.00. from 21.00 is open until It is necessary to bring a bathing suit and slippers, we provide a wellness towel.

Meals:The meals of our guests staying in the caves are provided by the Végvár Food Bar. Breakfast: arrives at the caves every morning around 8:00 in small baskets. The contents of the breakfast basket change daily: muffins/buns, cold meats/hot dogs, jam, honey, croissants, Nescafé, tea, etc. If you wish to use a different meal (e.g.: gluten-free, lactose-free), you must notify us in writing in advance. The half-board dinner/lunch and full-board menus can be selected from the restaurant's current menu. The Végvár food bar is exactly 700m from the castle, the only restaurant on the mountain, where we welcome our dear guests with traditional cuisine and dishes typical of the landscape all year round.
