Hotel U Černého Orla

The history of Hotel U Černého Orla (Black Eagle Hotel) dates back to the 16th century.  It has survived in its current form since 1907.  The hotel is located in a beautiful historic square named Zacharias of Hradec. The work of this man in the original medieval fortress, surrounded by a pond, testifies to its renaissance sensibilities. Telč Castle in one of the largest and best preserved complexes in the Czech Republic and was chosen as the backdrop for a number of children's movies. The city of Telč has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992.

Hotel U Černého Orla has 65 beds. It is one of the largest hotels in the city, and is also able to accommodate large groups. The hotel has 33 single and double rooms with extra beds. They all have a pleasant interior with TV, shower or bath and toilet. One room has wheelchair access. All three floors can be reached by elevator.

The restaurant on the ground floor is directly linked to the hotel. Its capacity is 85 seats and is divided into two lounges. The private lounge has ten seats. In summer there is a garden restaurant, which is located under the porch of the hotel. The restaurant overlooks the square and Telč castle.

On the first floor there is a room with a dance floor for about 80 guests. A wooden partition can divide the room into two rooms for 30 and 50 people. This room is ideal for weddings and dances.

For entertainment, you can rent a boat on Telč lake or get to know the country by bike. Why not visit Ronštejn Castle after a nice meal at one of the many good, local restaurants. If you have some energy left, there are many other places of interest in the area; such as Slavonice, Dačice, and of course Telč itself.
