Hostel Pekarna Maribor

Maribor – the second largest Slovenian city has a lot to offer. Here you can explore the numerous hidden, but lovely streets, take a long walk by the river Drava along the famous Lent, or enjoy its surroundings by taking a hike on the hills on the outskirts of Maribor. To truly experience the city, you can also partake of one of the numerous cultural, sports of and fun events taking place here.

Hostel Pekarna is part of the Cultural center Pekarna, a building complex that used to be a bakery, built at the turn of the century by the Austro-Hungarian army for the purpose of bread supply for the nearby barracks. Wholly renovated and modernly designed Hostel offers accommodation in seven 4-bed rooms with private bathrooms, located right across the wide corridor functioning as a space for socializing and relaxing, leading the way to the wooden terrace.

Dorm guests can use a common kitchen, where they can prepare their meals. Right next to the kitchen there is a big dining room with Internet Corner, equipped with TV and computers, free Internet access.

In the beginning of February 2014 you can visit Maribor and the FIS Ski World Cup race: the 50th Golden Fox, which will be particularly festive! What better way to visit such a great sports event, than to have a reservation in a nice facility like Hostel Pekarna!
